 How to go ?

The panoramic town of Lachen can be accessed both by buses or hired cars within the state. However, tourists coming from other parts of the country will have to opt for trains or flights that are connected to the nearest railway station or airport of the destination. New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati are the nearest railway station of the destination, well connected to a number of cities. The closest airport from Lachen is the Bagdogra Airport, which is well connected to all-important Indian cities through a number of flights. Buses, hired jeeps and cars are available from both Bagdogra airport, New Jalpaiguri railway stations, Gangtok carrying passengers to Lachen. To visit Lachen you will need permits that are opted from Gangtok.
